Sunday School
The Patience Baptist Church Sunday School has been in existence for over nineteen (19) years. The ministry has catered to ages four (4) to adults. There are currently five classes: Kindergarten, Primary, Juniors, Seniors and Bible Class.
The objective of the Patience Baptist Church Sunday School is to teach young children about God with the hope that they will come to know Him as their personal Saviour. The Biblical command to teach the children is the responsibility of parents as well as the church as we see in the pages of Scripture. Deuteronomy 31:12-13 is very clear “Assemble the people—men, women and children, and the foreigners residing in your towns—so they can listen and learn to fear the LORD your God and follow carefully all the words of this law. Their children, who do not know this law, must hear it and learn to fear the LORD your God as long as you live in the land…..).
Many children from the village and surrounding areas gather to hear the gospel of our Lord and it is our hope and prayer that this opportunity to hear the gospel at an early age, when the heart is still tender, will lead them to the Saviour or plant the seed which will direct them to seek the Saviour in later years.
The Sunday School is held every Sunday from 3:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. irrespective of national holidays, Christmas, Easter, school holidays etc. We also have a Bible Class for young adults.
Unfortunately the family structure which was established by God to raise children has been thoroughly corrupted by sinful man and the onus is on churches (more than ever before) to nurture the children in our midst as well as those in our communities.
